Valley Awakening v0.90.00 brought a new girl to the apartment building with a full arc, a card-collecting hobby built around her, two new places to visit, a proper prologue and a new main menu. It reached supporters on August 28 and went free for everyone on itch.io on September 25.

+1 new character +30 sprites 25 collectible cards +2 locations New prologue

New character & story

  • Juno moves into Flat 2 in your apartment building — her full 12-event story arc is playable start to finish
  • 30 new character sprites for Juno across 5 outfits
  • 6 new animations for Juno, each with slow, medium and fast speeds, plus 3 new story CGs
  • Her flat is free roam, so you can walk her rooms and click around
  • Juno has her own messaging arc on the phone

Card collecting

  • A full card-collecting hobby, built around Juno and shared with her
  • 25 collectible cards to find, each with its own art
  • Booster packs open one card at a time, with the good pull saved for last
  • A binder to store everything you've pulled, and a new Cards app on the phone
  • Dell now runs a card stall you can actually buy from

New locations & prologue

  • The flea market, open on Sundays, where Dell sets up his stall
  • The car park, now reachable from the map
  • The game now opens with a proper prologue cutscene instead of dropping you straight in

Interface & fixes

  • A brand-new main menu built around the animated title background (the old one is still there)
  • Gallery reworked with a spotlight rail and filters; rotating launch splash screens
  • Spanish catch-up pass for everything new
  • Fixed a missing narrator voice in Kate's flashback scenes and stat handling for older saves
  • Fixes across messaging, music, schedules, quick travel, the phone and several story files

The card system started as one small idea for how a single character should meet you, and turned into one of the biggest systems in the game — which is honestly how most things go around here.
